1

Stubborn fat can be problematic

Many of us have stubborn fat despite diet and exercise.

2

Fat cells are frozen

Controlled cooling gently and effectively targets fat cells underneath the skin while leaving surrounding tissue unaffected. Treated fat cells are frozen and then die.

3

Fat cells are eliminated

In the weeks and months that follow, the body naturally processes treated fat and eliminates those dead cells.

4

Gone for good

After CoolSculpting®, eliminated fat cells are gone for good.

Develop your personalized plan

Once your CoolSculpting® provider has confirmed noninvasive cryolipolysis is right for you, they will discuss your body goals. Using this information, and their expertise, they’ll create a customized treatment plan, with a suggested number of treatment sessions to help you achieve your body goals. Most patients need at least 2 treatment sessions—typically spaced 4 to 8 weeks apart—to achieve desired results.

Donna was treated with CoolSculpting® Elite on her abdomen, flanks, back fat, bra fat, and upper arms. She was also treated with CoolTone® on her abdomen and glutes. Results may vary. The safety and efficacy of CoolSculpting® and CoolTone® in combination have not been evaluated by the FDA.

Begin treatment

Since many patients need more than one treatment visit, your
provider may recommend your second treatment visit 4 to 8 weeks
after your first treatment visit. You can expect to see results one to three months after your treatment. If you're working toward a specific event, you’ll need to plan ahead.

Hunter was treated with CoolSculpting® Elite on his abdomen, flanks, and double chin. He was also treated with CoolTone® on his abdomen, glutes, and thighs. Results may vary. The safety and efficacy of CoolSculpting® and CoolTone® in combination have not been evaluated by the FDA.

Following the procedure, typical side effects include temporary redness, swelling, blanching, bruising, firmness, stinging, tenderness, cramping, skin inflammation, and aching. Sensory alteration (itching, skin sensitivity, tingling, and numbness) can persist up to several weeks after treatment. You may also experience throat discomfort/soreness and sensation of fullness in the back of the throat after submental or submandibular area treatment. These effects are temporary and generally resolve within days or weeks.

CoolSculpting® could be for you if you have unwanted areas of fat that don’t seem to respond to diet and exercise. Your provider will determine whether you are a candidate for the treatment. CoolSculpting® is not a weight-loss treatment, but many patients see it as a noninvasive procedure that can put the finishing touches to their body following medical weight loss or lifestyle changes.

During the procedure, you may experience sensations of pulling, tugging, mild pinching, intense cold, tingling, stinging, aching, cramping, and discomfort at the treatment site. These sensations lessen as the area becomes numb. While everyone has a different threshold of discomfort, you can use the time to read, watch TV, or even have a catnap.

Most patients start to see results one to three months after treatment. Results may vary.

After treatment, the fat cells break down and die. Once the treated fat cells have been destroyed and eliminated, the body won't regrow them.

With weight loss, the fat cells shrink in volume, but the number of fat cells stays the same. With CoolSculpting®, treated fat cells are permanently eliminated, leaving fewer fat cells in the treated area.

Important Safety Information

The CoolTone® procedure is not suitable for everyone. Do not use CoolTone® treatment in areas with metal, active, electrical, or electronic implants or devices such as cardiac pacemakers, implanted hearing aids, defibrillators, neurostimulators, or drug pumps.

Tell your doctor about any medical conditions, as CoolTone® should not be used over the uterus during menstruation, over areas of the skin that lack normal sensation, or in patients with fever, cancer, bleeding disorders, active infections, epilepsy, recent surgery, lung problems, or pregnancy.

CoolTone® should be used with caution in patients with Graves disease (an overactive thyroid condition); in women with an intrauterine device (IUD); and in patients with a hernia in or near the treatment site, active bleeding problems, or a seizure disorder. If you have an IUD and experience symptoms such as severe abdominal pain, cramping, spotting, or heavy bleeding develop during or after treatment, seek medical care right away.

Women who are close to their period may find that their period starts earlier or cramping becomes stronger with CoolTone® treatments. For this reason, it is best to avoid treatment during this time of the month.

CoolTone® is not recommended on certain parts of your body: the heart, head, neck, mouth, areas of new bone growth, or places with poor blood flow or reduced feeling. Do not use CoolTone® on skin that is swollen, infected, irritated, or has rashes. Applying it over scarred skin may raise your risk of burns. If you have or think you may have heart problems, tell your healthcare provider before using CoolTone®. Talk to them about any questions or concerns you may have before treatment.

Common side effects may include, but may not be limited to, muscular pain, temporary muscle spasm, temporary joint or tendon pain, and redness at or near the treatment area.

Ask your Healthcare Provider if CoolTone® is right for you.
